Watching this reminded me of just how great an album it is. Can't wait to see the Trendkill vid. Their best in my opinion.

This album was so awesome, when it came out…wow! Personal faves, not necessarily in order: Bodies, Pretty Vacant, God Save The Queen, Holidays In The Sun.

Oh yeah!!! This was so great as i thought, from the begining watching you reacting to strengh beyond strenght was like hot ones show eating the bomb hot sauce!!! I love this album it was my first cd, and the audio mix is my favorite after reign in blood. I recommend you to listen Sepultura - Chaos AD, them were touring together with this so amazing albums of that times.

A lot of comments, but I haven't seen much on the guitar, which Molly, you seemed to really like. Dimebag's guitar was tuned to 'D' standard, which is 'E' one whole step down. The tuning down adds heaviness to the sound. The tone come from the guitar being plugged into a Randall solid state amp, which has a different sound than say a tube amp like a Marshall. The tone on these albums has a chainsaw like sound to them at times. As for those 'squeals', some were pinch harmonics but some Dimebag used a Whammy Pedal, which could be adjusted to change the pitch of the guitar sound by modulating a foot pedal. In the mid 90's, when I first picked up the guitar, Pantera was one of a half dozen bands I was really into at the time. I used a DOD Death Metal pedal to simulate the Randall tone and I even bought a first gen Whammy pedal. The riffs where not too difficult to learn but Dimebag's solos gave me fits.... '5 Minutes Alone' was the first Pantera song I ever learned.

If you look at the booklet that came with this album they say that they covered Planet Caravan because they liked the song, and if you don’t, then don’t fucking listen to it, their words not mine lol

Always trips me up when people recognize Pantera's albums before Cowboys, in my mind they only have 5 haha I know the majority of fans love it but i'm not the biggest FBD fan. That said, that run of the first four tracks is *immaculate* , and Planet Caravan is a very unexpected and tasteful cover Hearing it back here i found alot of stuff i liked that i didn't remember too! Slaughtered, Third Arm and Throes are bangers Waiting for the next one! The Great Southern Trendkill is painfully underrated IMO If you liked the guitar sounds at 18:29 i really recommend Gojira! Those pick scrapes are like, their entire thing, sounds sick

Pretty sure "I'm Broken" is still my favorite Pantera song, even after all these years have passed since this album came out. Was very happy to see this album as your newest reaction. Keep up the great work, Molly! 🤘

The Great Southern Trendkill isn't my favorite, but there's this song on there called 10s that's just far beyond epic. Great reaction. Please look into doing a reaction for Temple of the Dog. You won't be disappointed.

Absolute classic album...these guys and Prong definitely paved the way for Deftones and their ilk...Page Hamilton's solos sound like a horse getting slapped on its ass and running wild n out of control. Prong's 'Beg To Differ' album you def need to check out as well.

Would love for you to check out their 4th studio album, "Power Metal". Pantera fans like to act like it doesn't exist, but it's one of my favorite albums of theirs. Plus it has Dimebag's best solo (in my opinion), in the song "We'll Meet Again"

The good day when they played real music on the radio before Iheart took over. Best concert I've ever seen sober. 3 pits that would morph into one. No two feet on the ground together for 2 hours. Honestly about as intense as a concert could possibly be.

For a decade, this was my 'go-to' album for working out to....

Interesting to hear your thoughts on this album and how it is different from the previous releases. The album reminds me of a particular group of friends i had at the time it came out. A couple of us got cassette copies on release and despite initial reservations grew to love this album. However it is not something i would listen to now and watching this video confirmed why.

Only a mentally challenged person could compare Slayer to Metallica. Slayer is real Thrash, Metallica makes song for MTV people. Period!

This was my introduction to Pantera in '95. Parents wouldn't let me buy parental advisory albums so I gave money to a friend to get me a guns n roses cd. He never got to the store so he gave me the copy of this that he had. Literally changed my life.

I'm personally more of a The Great Southern Trendkill kinda guy (you are gonna love the introduction to that one too), but the vibe of this one is so fucking unique it's unbelievable, an album that totally deserves the recognition it gets and definitely a classic

If you like Leprous, as well as Tool and Deftones, you would probably LOVE Karnivool. They've gone on record to say Tool and Deftones are huge influences on them. They don't have many albums despite being around for so long unfortunately, but they're all pretty much perfect. If you want to check out one song, I highly highly recommend New Day from the album Sound Awake (and that album I think is their best one) :)

Planet caravan is almost as good as the original from Black Sabath.

Far Beyond and The Great Southern are their best work in my opinion. It's sludgy, dark, and uncompromising.
